Trimac Employee Testimonials

“I like having my trucks leased to Trimac because even though it’s a big company, it has a family atmosphere. Trimac also has many corporate discounts for independent contractors like fuel, tires, parts and service. You can’t find a better place to work.”
- Keith H., Owner Operator

“The reason I like Trimac is because I feel the company appreciates me. Trimac wants me to be successful as an independent contractor.  Weekly settlements are easy to understand and have all the details you could possibly need.  My branch manager is a great guy to work for.  I can also get back home to spend time with my family and take care of things at home when I need to. Trimac is a good company to work for and I hope to stay here until I retire.”
- William E. W., Owner Operator

“I’ve been with Trimac for five years.  Trimac is not like any other company that I have worked for.  Everyone is nice to work with and my branch manager and dispatcher are great.  The benefits are great; like the Service with Safety incentive every three months.  Trimac is just a great company to work for all around.”
- Scott Y., Company Driver

“I left Trimac a few years ago, and boy, am I glad to be back. Trimac is not like other companies out there. They have personable people, a good work atmosphere, and are completely honest.  They are just a good company to work for and I’m happy to be back.”
- Randy B., Company Driver

“I started with Trimac driving dump trucks in and out of a calcium carbonate mine.  I quickly learned a lot about the dispatch side of the business being in the office and eventually moved over to a Traffic Supervisor position. That’s what I like about Trimac - there’s so much room to grow and so much potential with the company. With so many branches located all over the United States and Canada, and with the unlimited possibilities of growth, it’s bound to be nothing but great here at Trimac!”
- Amy A., Traffic Supervisor

“I feel very fortunate to work for Trimac Transportation. The company's stability and continued growth gives me a sense of security few people have the luxury of during these hard economic times.  Although we are a large North American company, the relationships between managers and employees go way beyond emails and memos. Trimac has a family feel with their employees, taking the time to get to know them personally and do what's best for everyone involved.  I enjoy coming to work each day, and to me, there's no better compliment than that.”
- Brian M., Branch Manager

“Safety is the core value of Trimac Transportation. We strive for continuous improvement in the safety arena. The foundation of our safety structure never waivers and includes hiring only the strongest candidates available, providing them with consistent training and the most current technology to perform their jobs safely and effectively. The pinnacle of our safety program is to never rationalize performance that does not meet our customers' requirements or Trimac's high standards.”
- Neil V., Director, Safety & Security U.S.

“We are convinced that investment in our team enables us to hire and retain the most professional people in the industry and is the core to our success.  Our vision of being the Preferred Place To Work is supported by ten main touchpoint opportunities we have with our employees and contractors that start at the recruitment process and end with retirement or separation with Trimac.  This “life-cycle” of our employees and contractors is the foundation of our core recruitment and retention processes.”
- Jason P., Manager, U.S. Retention & Recruitment

“I don’t like Trimac, I love Trimac! My Branch manager and Traffic Supervisor, along with the Regional manager, are the reasons why I love Trimac.  They don’t leave me hanging if there is a problem.  You can rely on them to be there.  Trimac also has a good network when it comes to breakdowns.  Central Planning is another reason why I love Trimac.  If the branch isn’t there, Central Planning is there 24 hours a day to help you with your problems.  The Safety with Service bonus is another reason.  If you keep your head on your job, this bonus can add up to thousands of dollars.  Like I said, “I love Trimac.”
- Stanley H., Owner Operator

“People always say the grass is greener on the other side.  Well, Trimac is the other side.”
- Dan E., Owner Operator

“I like Trimac because they are a good, dependable company.  Working for the Industrial Gas division, I am able to work locally and be home every night with my family.  Trimac has good pay and good equipment.  Working for Trimac gives me the opportunity to meet new and interesting people.”
- Ken B., Company Driver

“I feel Trimac has a close family atmosphere.  Everyone here helps each other.  The office personnel are wonderful.  Both the office and drivers go out of their way to help each other.  I love being a driver instructor for Trimac.  I have worked in the helium business for 13 years with different companies and they don’t have the same family feel or care you get from Trimac.”
- John S., Company Driver

“I have talked to others who have come to work here and they tell me it is a step up in the trucking industry to work for Trimac.  What keeps me here is that Trimac gives you an opportunity for knowledge and growth within the company.  Trimac makes you feel good about yourself.”
- James R., Company Driver

“There are three reasons why I like Trimac. First are the people. They show respect, and they recognize you for your contributions.  I have been with Trimac for 14 years and the other day I got an envelope with a gift card and a letter thanking me for working for Trimac.  It made me feel good to know they care.  Second is the pay.  Being an independent contractor, I look at the expenses I use and what the pay is on a load to figure out what I am actually making. The pay I am making is really up there.  Third is the support.  They support you on maintenance, tires and having to put your tractor into the shop.  They are there for you.  I’m sure there are a number of other things, but those are why I have been here for the last 14 years.”
- Larry W., Owner Operator

“I like Trimac for the regional work.  I know when I am going to be home with my family and that is very important to me.  Also, the people I work with are a great group.”
- David K., Owner Operator

“Trimac is a good family-oriented place.  They make you feel part of the family.”
- Hoover R., Owner Operator

“I have been with Trimac for 16 years and the reason I stick around is the people.  Roy goes out of his way to help you.  I feel like if I have a problem I can take it to him and he will do what he can to get it handled. Trimac is a just a good solid company with good benefits.”
- William G., Company Driver

“Trimac rewards you for doing a good job.  I have worked for four other companies and they had a lot of problems with payroll, scheduling, equipment and asking you to run illegal.  Trimac has several things going for it.  The people you work with are nice, the equipment is good and I can get home when I want to.  What can I say –  life is good!”
- James F., Company Driver

“My first few months with Trimac Information Services have been great. Trimac provides its employees with an energetic and innovative work environment that embraces change and new ideas. The team bonding since my first day has been great and continues to be so with a very vibrant and open approach which is essential for growth of an organization and an individual. The support I receive from my team on a daily basis is invaluable and allows me to challenge myself and enhance my skills. I feel privileged to be a part of this company. I have enjoyed my career so far with Trimac, and look forward to a productive future with them.”
- Zeba A., Manager, Client Services

“I have been with Trimac for just less than a year, and am grateful to have found a company that has all the opportunities of a large, North American company. Yet, the culture and personal feel of Trimac resembles a small, family company. It is great having management that recognizes your individual skills and is very supportive of your career aspirations. I work as part of a great team, and the training, experience and opportunities for me to excel are all readily available. At Trimac, your hard work is most definitely recognized and in return you get a great place to work and grow.”
